Flynn and Hudáček Decide It in 60 Seconds
Coming off a stunning 1-4 to 5-4 OT comeback in Game 3, Třinec carried the momentum into Game 4 and never let Pardubice settle. At 1:35, Galvas found Flynn between the circles, who beat Will from the slot — 1-0. Sixty-seven seconds later, Daňo set up Libor Hudáček for a backhand finish — 2-0. Will was pulled, and Mails Subban entered the crease.
Pardubice responded like the regular-season champions they are. At 8:21, Sedlák traded a point setup with Hájek and beat Kacetl through traffic — 2-1. Ninety seconds later, on a Marian Adámek minor, Červenka buried a Sedlák feed for 2-2. The first period ended even at 2-2, with Pardubice seemingly back in control.
Musil Restores the Lead in the Second
The middle frame was open hockey. The decisive moment arrived at 36:52: Flynn and Hudáček combined to set up defenseman David Musil, whose point shot screened past Subban — 3-2 Třinec heading to the third.
Roman Closes It Out
The third period was tactical. Pardubice pressed for an equalizer; Kacetl held firm. With Subban pulled in the closing seconds, Daňo and Marinčin sprung Miloš Roman for an empty-netter at 59:49 — 4-2.
Kacetl logged his 200th career Czech Extraliga win. "We had a solid start with two goals, but the failed power play at 2-0 disrupted us and they equalized. From 2-2 onward it was a hard battle," head coach Boris Žabka said.
What It Means
The series is tied 2-2 with Game 5 in Pardubice on Sunday. {{homeTeam}}, chasing a sixth straight Czech title, kept their dynasty alive. Pardubice, hunting their first title since 2012, missed the chance to grab a commanding 3-1 lead and now face a best-of-three with two of three potentially at home.
