Hrosi seized control early. The hosts plated four runs in the opening frame, chasing Draci's starter after just ⅔ of an inning. Ryan Johnson, the club's leading hitter from the regular season (.357 AVG, 11 HR, 40 RBI), delivered a two-run single in that first-inning outburst.

Draci answered with three runs of their own in the top of the second to pull within one, capitalising on a pair of walks and a defensive error. But Hrosi's offence kept the pressure on, adding three more in the third and two in the fourth to build a 9–3 advantage.

The visitors scraped a run back in the fifth, but any hope of a comeback evaporated in the bottom of the sixth when Hrosi erupted for three more runs on four hits, including an RBI double from Tomáš Říčný.

Draci added a consolation run in the eighth, but the game was long decided.

Pre-game ceremonies saw Ovesný, who founded the Hrosi organisation, inducted into the Síně slávy českého baseballu (Czech Baseball Hall of Fame), after which he threw the ceremonial first pitch.

The game turned in a single sequence: the bottom of the first. When the home side batted around and scored four runs, they not only took control of the scoreboard but chased Draci's starting pitcher after only 18 pitches. That early bullpen call forced Draci to burn through five relievers across the remaining eight innings, none of whom could contain the Hrosi lineup.

Ryan Johnson was the catalyst at the heart of the Hrosi order. The American import, who led the Extraliga in several offensive categories during the regular season, finished with three hits, two runs scored and three RBI. His two-run single in the first set the tone for the afternoon.

Tomáš Říčný continued his strong postseason form with two hits, including a double, and two RBI. The Czech international has now hit safely in both semi-final games.

For Draci, Milan Prokop provided the only sustained offensive threat with two hits and two RBI, but received little support from the rest of the lineup.

The 12 runs Hrosi scored matched their second-highest total of the entire regular season — a league in which they averaged just 5.6 runs per game. The 17 combined runs were well above the Extraliga average of 8.2 per contest, reflecting the intensity of the Brno derby environment. Draci's pitching staff issued seven walks, a figure that proved fatal against a Hrosi offence that ranked second in the league in on-base percentage during the regular season.

The series is now tied 1-1 heading into Game 3 on Sunday, also at Areál Hroch (14:00 local). The winner of the best-of-five semi-final advances to the Extraliga championship series to face either top-seeded Kotlářka Prague or fourth-seeded Eagles Praha, who are also tied 1-1 after splitting their opening two games.

Hrosi, who finished second in the regular season at 22–13, have now restored home-field advantage in the series after dropping Game 1 on Friday. Draci, regular-season finishers in third at 21–14, will need to win at least one of the next two games in Jundrov to take the series back to MBS.

This was Hrosi at their most potent — relentless, disciplined at the plate, and clinical in punishing early mistakes. Draci's pitching staff, which held Hrosi to three runs just 24 hours earlier, had no answer the second time around. The series now becomes a best-of-three with Game 3 up next.
