"Founding father, Mr Technika, player, coach and long-time club president, died on 19.8.2026 while doing his favourite activity — white-water rafting. His heart gave out, but he will be with us always," the club wrote on its website. "Every spot on Kraví hora is connected with his name and Technika will forever remember."

Drnec founded VSK Technika Brno, played for the club himself, and later managed the team to multiple championships. His son Jakub Drnec confirmed the news. A brief public farewell, announced by the club, took place before the 13:00 start.
