Nettuno vs Macerata

Macerata seized control before Nettuno had even taken a breath. In the top of the first inning, J. Carrera ripped a double, Mig. Fabrizio drew a walk, and a wild pitch moved both runners into scoring position. R. Tomsjansen and SD. Carbonara followed with back-to-back run-scoring singles, and Macerata led 3-0 after half an inning.

Nettuno responded in the fourth. Nat. Batista doubled and JorEnr. Aloma drove him in with a double of his own, cutting the deficit to 3-1. That was as close as the home side would get.

Macerata reasserted control in the seventh. R. Paolini doubled to spark the rally and AntJo. Concepcion followed with a home run to extend the lead to 6-1. The visitors added three more in the ninth on consecutive singles from Concepcion, Tomsjansen, Carbonara and Paolini to put the game — and the series — beyond doubt.

Concepcion's blast over the fence in the seventh effectively ended any comeback hopes, pushing the lead to five runs and allowing Macerata to cruise through the final two frames.

They will face Parma Clima in a best-of-seven series (2-3-2 format), starting in Parma on 14 August 2026. Parma advanced by dispatching Reggio Emilia 3-1 in their quarter-final. Games 1 and 2 are set for 14–15 August in Parma, with the series shifting to Macerata for Games 3–5 from 18–20 August.

For Nettuno 1945, the season ends at the quarter-final stage. Despite flashes of promise in Game 4, their offence never recovered from the early 3-0 deficit, and the pitching staff could not contain a Macerata lineup that produced 14 hits for the second time in the series.

Macerata were the sharper team from the first pitch and never looked back. Concepcion's home run provided the knockout punch, but the foundation was laid by relentless two-strike approaches and disciplined at-bats throughout the lineup. Nettuno simply had no answer for Macerata's offensive depth, and the series scoreline reflected the gap between the sides.
