Croatia trailed 67-65 with under a minute to play when Iceland's Atli Haraldsson was called for a turnover in the backcourt. Croatia capitalised: a quick pass found Ukic, who drew a foul and calmly sank both free throws to tie the game at 67-67 with 38 seconds left.

Iceland inbounded and ran the shot clock down, but Haraldsson's contested jumper from the elbow missed everything — grabbed by Croatia's Niksa Zlopasa in the scramble. With no timeouts left, Croatia pushed in transition and found Ukic, who had already hit four three-pointers on the night, in the corner for the game-winner. Luka Leni Ukic (Croatia) — 27 points, 11 assists, 5 three-pointers. The tournament MVP (22.7 PPG, 6.4 APG across the event) delivered when it mattered most, scoring or assisting on 12 of Croatia's 15 fourth-quarter points. His 27-point, 11-assist double-double in the final capped a tournament that saw him named to the All-Star Five alongside teammate Niksa Zlopasa.

Atli Haraldsson (Iceland) — 18 points, 12 rebounds, efficiency rating of 24. The 6'7" guard was a force on both ends, finishing as Iceland's leading scorer and rebounder in the final. His tournament averages of 14.5 PPG, 9.5 RPG and 1.8 BPG earned him a place in the All-Star Five.

Niksa Zlopasa (Croatia) — The 6'5" shooting guard contributed across the stat sheet with 11.3 PPG and 6.7 RPG for the tournament, but his defensive rebound off Haraldsson's missed jumper with 12 seconds left was the unsung play that set up Ukic's heroics.

Croatia shot 36% from the field and 29.4% from three-point range — modest numbers — yet made the shots that counted. Croatia win the Division B title and return to Division A for the 2027 U16 EuroBasket. For Croatia, the victory caps a tournament in which head coach Roko Leni Ukic — a former Croatian national team captain and the father of MVP Luka Leni Ukic — guided his squad to a 6-1 record. Iceland finished 4-3, with both losses coming to Croatia (80-53 in the group stage and this 69-67 final).

A classic final decided by a single shot from the tournament's best player.
