For Valenzuela, the loss drops them to 10–14 on the season. The Darkhorse struggled to generate consistent offence against Rizal's half-court defence, particularly in the first and third quarters.

The 81–71 final reflects a game Rizal controlled from start to finish. The Golden Coolers' 20–16 first-quarter advantage set a tempo Valenzuela could not match. The 10-point margin is identical to Rizal's previous win on 29 July against GenSan Warriors (also 81–71), suggesting a pattern of efficient offence and disciplined defence.

Rizal's consistent quarter-by-quarter scoring — never below 19, never above 21 — speaks to an offence that found what it needed without relying on one explosive run. Valenzuela, by contrast, scored 19 in both the second and fourth quarters but managed only 16 and 17 in the first and third, respectively — the two periods where Rizal's defence was most locked in.
