Football is a popular sport in Grenada, the small Caribbean island nation known as the "Spice Isle." The country has 1 leagues and 10 teams, with the Premier Division at the top. While cricket has traditionally been the dominant sport, football has a growing following, and the national team has competed in CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifying and FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Football in Grenada has been played since the early 20th century, with the Grenada Football Association founded in 1924. The country joined FIFA in 1978 and has since participated in World Cup and regional qualifying campaigns. Grenada's qualification for the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup represented the country's most significant international footballing achievement.

Prior to the renaming it was known simply as the National Stadium. The facility hosts both CONCACAF and FIFA qualifying matches for the national team, as well as domestic league games. Tanteen Athletic Stadium is another venue used for GFA Premier League fixtures. Infrastructure development has been a priority for the GFA with FIFA Forward funding, and improvements to pitches and training facilities across the island's parishes have been ongoing.
