Singapore U19 vs Thailand U19

Thailand controlled the opening exchanges without creating clear-cut chances until the 27th minute, when Pirada Larsawat collected the ball inside the box and fired a left-footed shot past Singapore goalkeeper Jarec Ng to make it 1-0.

The Young War Elephants pressed their advantage. On 40 minutes, a delivery from Natthakit Phosri was turned into his own net by a Singapore defender, doubling Thailand's lead to 2-0.

Singapore went into the break trailing but still within reach — until the 47th minute. Vice-captain Luth Harith, sent off for a serious foul, received a straight red card. The decision reduced Singapore to 10 men and effectively ended any prospect of a second-half revival.

Thailand capitalised with patience. In the 72nd minute, Sirisaran Chanchaemsai — on as a substitute for goalscorer Larsawat — met a cross from Witthawat Phraothaisong and finished with his right foot to make it 3-0.

Deep into stoppage time, Ratchanon Khodchasamee, another substitute, added a fourth with a left-footed strike to round off the scoring at 4-0.

The red card to Luth Harith inside two minutes of the second half. At 2-0 down, Singapore still had a theoretical path back into the match. Once reduced to 10, their defensive structure fractured and Thailand could pick them off at will. The sending-off shifted the game from competitive to one-sided.

Natthakit Phosri (Thailand) — Instrumental in the second goal, his delivery forced the own goal. His energy on the right flank stretched Singapore throughout the first half.

Sirisaran Chanchaemsai (Thailand) — Came off the bench and scored within minutes, putting the game beyond doubt. His right-footed finish from Phraothaisong's cross showed composure.

Jarec Ng (Singapore) — Kept the scoreline respectable with several saves, though he had little protection after the red card.

The 4-0 scoreline tells a story of Thai dominance, but it was not a one-sided onslaught from start to finish. Singapore had frustrated Thailand for the opening 27 minutes through disciplined organisation, with few clear chances before Larsawat's breakthrough.

The red card at 47' is the dividing line: the first two goals came in a 13-minute spell when the game was 11v11; the final two arrived after 70 minutes when Singapore were a man down. Thailand's 11 goal attempts to Singapore's 3 after the red card, compared to a more balanced 7–4 before it, illustrate how the numerical advantage shaped the final margin.

Thailand moved to the top of Group B with maximum points. They confirmed their semi-final spot with a 3-2 win over Malaysia on 8 June — Pichaiya Kongsri scoring a double and Pirada Larsawat adding another — before losing 2-0 to Australia in the final on 13 June. Australia won the 2026 ASEAN U19 Boys' Bank Sumut Championship.

Singapore finished with 3 points, courtesy of a 4-0 win over Brunei on 8 June (goals from Rae Peh, Uchenna Eziakor, Andy Reefqy and Liska Haaziq), but did not advance from the group.

Thailand showed the depth and composure of a five-time regional champion. Singapore's young squad — featuring nine players aged 17 or under — gained valuable experience against elite opposition. The red card distorted the final margin, but Thailand were the better side before it and ruthless after it.
