Cambodia needed just four minutes to take the lead. Mohamatsorles Seth controlled the ball inside the box and fired a left-footed shot past Philippines goalkeeper Luc Narido for his first tournament goal, unassisted.

Seth doubled the lead in the 14th minute. Visa Poy played a pass into the forward's path and Seth switched to his right foot, finishing calmly to make it 2-0 inside a quarter of an hour.

Udom Sean (Cambodia U19) — Provided the assist for Sitha's goal and anchored the midfield alongside Kimsou Oung. Despite picking up a yellow card, his influence in the engine room was central to Cambodia controlling the tempo from the first whistle.

Farib Mat (Cambodia U19) — A clean sheet on his tournament debut. The goalkeeper commanded his box well and, while not heavily tested, handled everything that came his way without error.

Cambodia scored three first-half goals from three shots on target — a clinical conversion rate that told the story of ruthless finishing rather than relentless chance creation. The win moved Cambodia to three points in Group C, setting up a decisive group-stage finale against Australia on 9 June 2026. Cambodia drew 2-2 with Australia and advanced to the semi-finals as group runners-up, eventually finishing fourth in the tournament — one of the nation's best-ever performances at U19 level. For Philippines, back-to-back defeats in Group C meant elimination at the group stage.

Cambodia were ruthless when it mattered and organised when they needed to be. Seth's early double gave them complete control, the midfield dictated the tempo, and the defensive unit never looked like surrendering the advantage.
