Union Klosterfelde vs Luckenwalde

Union Klosterfelde — who compete in the NOFV-Oberliga Nord (Germany's fifth tier) — made a mockery of the league gap from the outset. Irfan Brando opened the scoring in the 24th minute, catching the Luckenwalde defence cold with a finish that gave the Regionalliga Nordost side no chance.

Luckenwalde remain without a pre-season win in six friendlies (five draws, one defeat) dating back to their 28 June stalemate with Hertha BSC II. The Regionalliga Nordost side face another test on Tuesday 14 July when they travel to BSV Eintracht Mahlsdorf (kick-off 19:00 local).

A classic David-versus-Goliath friendly result. Union Klosterfelde were sharper, more clinical and deserved their win against a Luckenwalde side that created chances but lacked the cutting edge to complete a second comeback. The division gap on paper meant nothing on the pitch at the Mühlenstraße.
