For Kisvárda, this was their fourth pre-season friendly of summer 2026 and a clear step forward. After a 3-1 loss to Vasas on 8 July, Supka had promised to field a lineup closer to his first-choice XI, and this match delivered a more cohesive performance. "The first half was good, we created chances," Supka said after the match (via nb1.hu). "We could have won by a bigger margin."

Kazincbarcikai, under manager Attila Kuttor, continued their preparation for the Merkantil Bank Liga (NB II) season. "The match achieved its purpose," Kuttor said (via kbsc.hu). "There are two weeks until the start, we keep working."
