Viktoria Aschaffenburg struck inside the first four minutes. J. Berg opened the scoring early, catching the Alzenau defence cold to give the visitors a flying start.

Bayern Alzenau responded with sustained pressure. Jihad Boutakhrit missed a gilt-edged one-on-one chance in the 15th minute, but four minutes later the hosts were level. Boutakhrit turned provider, his clever approach work setting up L. Sitter, who finished from close range to make it 1-1.

The breakthrough came in the 74th minute. Boutakhrit collected the ball on the edge of the area and unleashed a superb long-range strike that flew past the Viktoria goalkeeper to give Alzenau a deserved lead.

But Alzenau could not add a third. Kallo forced a save from Samarelli in the 79th minute, and with two minutes of normal time remaining, Emmerich capitalised on a fast Viktoria counter-attack to slot home and make it 2-2.

Alzenau's failure to score a third goal when they were on top proved decisive. With the hosts creating several presentable chances between the 74th and 84th minutes but failing to convert, Viktoria remained within one goal and were rewarded when Emmerich finished a rapid counter-attack in the 88th minute. It was the first time Alzenau had led in the match, and they could not sustain it.

Jihad Boutakhrit (Bayern Alzenau) — The standout player on the pitch. Missed a one-on-one early but never hid, creating the equaliser for Sitter and scoring a stunning long-range winner that deserved to decide the match. His movement between the lines caused Viktoria problems all afternoon.

L. Sitter (Bayern Alzenau) — Took his goal well from Boutakhrit's cross and was a constant threat, going close again in the 51st minute.

M. Emmerich (Viktoria Aschaffenburg) — Introduced from the bench and made the decisive intervention, scoring the late equaliser that preserved Viktoria's unbeaten pre-season record.

The 2-2 scoreline tells a tale of two halves of dominance. Bayern Alzenau controlled the first half after Berg's early opener, creating a series of clear chances that should have yielded more than Sitter's equaliser. The second half initially followed the same pattern until Boutakhrit's long-range strike, but Viktoria grew into the contest as the half wore on. The 220 attendance reflects the local derby nature of the fixture, with both sets of fans present at the Mairec-Arena.

Alzenau's live ticker noted that "in some phases of the match, our team failed to take advantage of the good opportunities that presented themselves" — a frank assessment of a performance that deserved more than a draw.

For Bayern Alzenau, the draw is their second pre-season friendly under coach Kreso Ljubicic, following a 1-0 win at Frammersbach on 21 June. They face SV Zeilsheim on 15 July as preparations continue for the Hessenliga season, which begins on 1 August at Marburg. Their first home league match is against FSV Fernwald on 8 August.

Viktoria Aschaffenburg extended their unbeaten pre-season run (four wins and one draw prior to this match, including victories over RW Darmstadt, Bavaria Wiesen, and Frammersbach). The Bayernliga side begin their competitive season with a trip to Grossbardorf on 21 July, followed by a home fixture against Würzburger FV on 24 July.

A fair result on balance, even if Boutakhrit's moment of quality nearly won it for the hosts. Alzenau will be encouraged by their dominance in large spells but frustrated by the conversion rate. Viktoria showed the resilience of a side that has won four of five pre-season games, and Emmerich's late intervention maintains their positive momentum. Neither side will read too much into a pre-season draw, but Ljubicic will want sharper finishing before the Hessenliga campaign begins.
