Oseni's 40th-minute opener was the breakthrough the visitors' dominance deserved. Until that point, Bath had held firm — Wiles-Richards made routine saves from Baidoo and Matty Sorinola, and Mathias Ross headed a Hartridge cross straight at the goalkeeper. Bim Pepple (Plymouth) — Held the ball up effectively, drew defenders and created space for Oseni's runs. His pass for the second goal was the standout moment of his performance.

Mathias Ross (Plymouth) — Captain for the day, the centre-back headed on target from a Hartridge cross and joined attacks from deep, including a cross that Oseni headed narrowly wide.

The 3-0 scoreline reflected Plymouth's territorial dominance but not the full story of Bath's resistance. The hosts, playing their third pre-season outing, kept their shape well in the first half-hour and limited Plymouth to mostly half-chances until Oseni's opener. After the break, Cleverley's wholesale changes at 62 minutes introduced fresh legs but disrupted Argyle's rhythm — Bath's best chance came on 68 minutes when substitute Alex Fisher's header was cleared off the line by Sam Hayman. Wiles-Richards produced several good saves in the second half to keep the score at three.

Argyle have now won both pre-season friendlies — following a 4-1 victory over Plymouth Parkway — with two clean sheets and nine goals scored. The trip to Bath was the second of four scheduled pre-season fixtures before the League One campaign begins. Next up for Cleverley's side is the annual visit to Torquay United at Plainmoor on Tuesday 21 July. Bath City, preparing for the 2026-27 National League South season, face Newport County on Saturday 25 July.

A professional, controlled performance from Plymouth against lower-league opposition. The goalscoring spread — Oseni, Baidoo and Amaechi all on the sheet — and the clean sheet shared by Murphy Cooper and James Storer across two entirely different XIs will satisfy Cleverley as much as the result.
