Gloggnitz vs Rapid Wien II

Rapid II controlled the tempo from the opening whistle. Nicolas Jozepovic registered the first shot on target inside ten minutes, but his effort was too central and the Gloggnitz goalkeeper made a comfortable save.

The breakthrough came in the 26th minute, when a well-weighted through ball found Erik Stehrer, who took it first time and slotted low into the net to make it 1-0. Gloggnitz responded with a rare chance — a shot on goal that Rapid keeper Laurenz Orgler gathered without difficulty (33'). Gloggnitz refused to fold and grabbed a consolation in the 86th minute when Salihovic found the net, but Rapid II saw out the closing stages comfortably.

The quickfire double from Jozepovic (56') and Music (58') inside 120 seconds killed the contest. Gloggnitz had held firm after the interval but conceded twice in quick succession, leaving them no route back into the match.

Erik Stehrer opened the scoring with a sharp first-time finish and set the tone for Rapid II's forward play before being substituted at half-time.

Nicolas Jozepovic was a persistent threat, testing the goalkeeper early and then scoring a well-taken solo goal to make it 2-0. He was withdrawn in the 60th minute.

Ensar Music added the third with a clinical finish into the far corner, rounding off a productive afternoon for the Rapid II frontline.

Rapid II's 3-1 victory was built on efficiency in front of goal rather than overwhelming volume. The three goals came from a controlled attacking performance, with the decisive double arriving inside two second-half minutes. Gloggnitz managed only the one consolation despite growing into the game late, reflecting Rapid II's defensive solidity. Djezic's shot cleared off the line (36') was the closest either side came before the break.

This was Rapid II's final pre-season friendly before the ADMIRAL 2. Liga season kicks off. Jürgen Kerber's side will face Admira Wacker away on Friday, 31 July 2026 at 18:30. For Gloggnitz, who compete in the Regionalliga Ost (third tier), the friendly offered valuable minutes against higher-level opposition as they continue their own pre-season programme.

A composed and professional display from Rapid II, who never looked troubled after Stehrer's early opener. The two-minute double salvo after the break underlined the gap between the sides. The question for Kerber will be whether this level of finishing carries into the competitive season starting next week.

Nicolas Jozepovic — the midfielder was involved in the game's opening chances, scored the crucial second goal that broke Gloggnitz's resistance, and was a constant menace before being substituted in the 60th minute.

The 56th–58th minute double salvo: Jozepovic's composed one-on-one finish and Music's clinical strike turned a slender 1-0 lead into a commanding 3-0 advantage, effectively ending the contest before the hour mark.
