ADO needed just 120 seconds to open the scoring. Jesse Bal finished a flowing team move to put the Hagenaars ahead, the 19-year-old striker continuing the form that brought him eight goals in 31 league appearances last season.

In the 14th minute, Jalen Hawkins doubled the lead with a well-struck effort from distance, giving the Lommel goalkeeper no chance as ADO controlled the first half without ever hitting top gear.

The pattern repeated immediately after the interval. Luka Reischl made it 3-0 just 46 seconds into the second half (46'), and before Lommel could regroup, Evan Rottier added a fourth a minute later (47') — two goals in 68 seconds that effectively ended the contest.

The double strike at the start of the second half. Lommel had weathered the storm after going 2-0 down and may have hoped for a tactical reset at half-time. Instead, Reischl's finish from inside the box and Rottier's follow-up within 90 seconds of the restart killed any chance of a Belgian comeback. For ADO Den Haag, this was the fourth and final pre-season match before a five-day training camp in Zeeland (26–31 July) and a final friendly on 31 July at the WerkTalent Stadion. The Eredivisie season begins on 8 August with an away fixture against AZ Alkmaar. Four wins from four friendlies — against HVV Laakkwartier, Westlands Elftal, KV Mechelen and now Lommel — suggest Robin Peter's side is building momentum at the right time.

For Lommel United, the 0-4 defeat closes their Zeeland training camp. The Belgian First Division A side opens its league campaign on 8 August against STVV (Sint-Truiden).

A routine pre-season workout for ADO Den Haag, who were sharper, faster and more clinical from the first minute. The four-goal margin was a fair reflection of the gap in match readiness. Lommel will take lessons from the trip to Zeeland, but ADO look a side already comfortable with their patterns ahead of the Eredivisie return.
