Tom Crawford (Altrincham) — Provided the assist for Knowles' goal and forced an excellent save from Murdock in the second half. His midfield play was instrumental in Altrincham's best periods.

United created early chances — particularly through Obi — but faded after the interval, failing to test Evans with the same frequency after their substitutions. For Manchester United U21, this was one of their final warm-up matches before the 2026/27 Premier League 2 campaign. The young Reds finished second in the PL2 regular season last term before losing the playoff final to Brighton & Hove Albion on 16 May 2026.

A useful workout for both sides.
