The Superliga side needed no time to assert the gulf in class. Oliver Ross opened the scoring in the 3rd minute and Sofus Berger doubled the lead five minutes later. Youngster Malthe-Emil Hansen made it 3-0 in the 10th minute before Ross struck again in the 16th minute to make it four.

Julius Lorents Nielsen added a fifth in the 33rd minute, and Ross completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot on the stroke of half-time (45'). Villads Westh converted another penalty early in the second half (48') to make it 7-0, before William Kirk rounded the scoring for Silkeborg with an 8th goal in the 77th minute.

KFUM managed a consolation goal late on to make the final score 1-8.
