Viktoria Žižkov vs Slavia Praha II

After a quiet first 29 minutes with few clear chances, the game exploded into life just after the half-hour mark. Václav Patka broke the deadlock in the 30th minute, prodding home from close range to give Žižkov the lead against a Slavia B side that had held firm until that point.

Nine minutes later, Vojtěch Prošek doubled the advantage with a well-taken finish, and Žižkov went into the break 2-0 up despite not having dominated the half.

Despite sustained Slavia pressure in the final quarter-hour — the visitors earned several free kicks and corners in advanced positions — Žižkov's defence held firm to see out the result.

The penalty awarded to Slavia in the 64th minute completely shifted the game's momentum. Trailing 3-0 with just over 25 minutes left, Michez's successful spot-kick gave the reserves hope and Herák's swift follow-up made it a one-goal game within three minutes. Žižkov had to weather 20 minutes of pressure but managed to avoid any further damage.

This was Žižkov's second pre-season friendly after a narrow 2-3 loss to FC Vysočina Jihlava on 20 June. The result gives head coach Marek Nikl a positive data point ahead of the 2026/27 Chance Národní Liga season — the Czech second tier — where Žižkov will also face Slavia Prague B in league action.

For Slavia Prague II, this friendly served as important preparation for their own Chance Národní Liga campaign, competing in the same division as Žižkov. The reserves showed character in fighting back from 3-0 down, something their coaching staff will take encouragement from.
