Ararat-Armenia vs Vojvodina

The match was played in searing heat and at a low tempo typical of pre-season, with both sides using the fixture to build fitness ahead of competitive campaigns. Vojvodina dominated possession in the first half but created little of note. The midfield trio of Ifet Đakovac, Njegoš Petrović and Dejan Zukić — deployed together for the first time in pre-season — controlled the centre of the pitch without breaking through Ararat-Armenia's defensive lines. Striker Nardin Mulahusejnović received minimal service, and wide players struggled to deliver telling crosses. The half finished goalless.

Ararat-Armenia took the lead shortly after the restart. Vojvodina goalkeeper Matija Gočmanac made an uncharacteristic error, and Arthur Serobyan capitalised with a finish from distance to make it 1–0. The goal came against the run of play but punished Vojvodina's lack of incision in the final third.

As the second half wore on, Vojvodina coach Miroslav Tanjga turned to his bench. Substitutes Petar Sukačev and Marko Mladenović injected energy into the side, and it was Mladenović who emerged as the hero. In second-half stoppage time, he found the net to secure a 1–1 draw, sparing Vojvodina a second consecutive pre-season defeat.

Gočmanac's mistake early in the second half handed Ararat-Armenia the lead and forced Vojvodina to chase the game in energy-sapping heat. That the equaliser came so late — and from a young substitute rather than a regular starter — highlighted the lack of sharpness in Tanjga's preferred XI.

Arthur Serobyan (Ararat-Armenia) — The Armenian forward took his chance clinically, striking from distance after the goalkeeper's error. It was his only clear sight of goal, but he made it count.

Marko Mladenović (Vojvodina) — Introduced from the bench, the young midfielder scored the stoppage-time equaliser and, alongside fellow substitute Petar Sukačev, gave Vojvodina a dimension they had lacked for most of the match.

Ifet Đakovac (Vojvodina) — One of the brighter performers in a disjointed midfield display, but unable to impose dominance alongside Petrović and Zukić.

The provider stats show the match finished 1–1 with no first-half goals recorded. Vojvodina's greater share of possession — typical of a side facing a counter-attacking opponent — did not translate into a first-half breakthrough. The fact that both goals came after the interval reflects the loosening of defensive structures as players tired in the heat and substitutions disrupted rhythm. Ararat-Armenia's goal came from their only clearly recorded shot on target; Vojvodina's arrived from a substitute in added time, underscoring Tanjga's need for greater sharpness among his starters.

For Ararat-Armenia, the draw continues a solid pre-season after a 1–1 result against Slovenian side Mura on 20 June. They concluded their Austrian training camp with this fixture.

For Vojvodina, this was their second friendly of pre-season following a 2–1 loss to Hungarian champions Győri ETO on 24 June. The result does little to settle concerns about their attacking output ahead of a crucial UEFA Europa League first qualifying round tie against Ferencváros on 9 July at the Karađorđe Stadium in Novi Sad. Next up for Tanjga's side is another friendly against Universitatea Cluj on 2 July.

A pre-season friendly played at low intensity in oppressive heat, settled by one moment of quality from Serobyan and one of persistence from Mladenović. Vojvodina will need more from their first-choice XI if they are to compete with Ferencváros in two weeks' time. Ararat-Armenia can take confidence from a competitive showing against a side from a stronger league.
