Třinec vs Púchov

Třinec dominated much of the second half territorially but could not find a killer third goal. Vlachovský’s cross found Němec, whose header hit the top of the woodwork. Efforts from Agba and Bolf lacked accuracy, and Zinhasović was denied by the Púchov goalkeeper.

That profligacy proved costly. Murin saved well from Tandara, but from the ensuing phase Púchov’s left-back collected the ball 25 yards out and lashed a shot beyond the Třinec keeper to make it 2–2 with time running out.

Just when it appeared the friendly would finish level, Brak stepped up. The defender unleashed a powerful strike from distance that flew into the net with minutes remaining, restoring Třinec’s lead and securing the victory.

Nguyen was Třinec’s most dangerous attacking threat. He scored the opening goal with a composed finish and turned provider for Cienciala’s strike, showing sharp movement and link-up play throughout his time on the pitch.

Murin kept Tœinec in the game at a crucial moment by saving a first-half penalty, the kind of intervention that proved decisive in a one-goal contest.

Brak provided the moment of the match. His 90th-minute winner from range was the definition of a game-changer and offered a glimpse of attacking threat from deep positions.

Cienciala, recently recovered from injury, marked his return with a well-taken goal and positive running on the left flank.

The 3–2 scoreline, with a 2–1 half-time split, reflects the open nature of a first pre-season outing. The match produced eight total goals across the three previous H2H meetings (averaging 4.7 per game), and this fixture continued that trend. Both teams scored in all three meetings between the sides, with a 100% record for Over 2.5 goals. The shot-heavy narrative confirmed the pattern: chances at both ends, and neither defence at full match fitness.

This was the first pre-season friendly of summer 2026 for both clubs. Třinec are preparing for their debut campaign in the Czech second league (Chance Národní Liga) after winning the MSFL title in 2025/26. Púchov continue their build-up for another season in the Slovak MONACObet liga (second tier).

A typical early pre-season friendly — rough edges at the back, sharpness in patches, and a winner that owed as much to energy as technique. Tœinec coach Ľubomír Luhový gave minutes to several trialists, and while the performance was uneven, the result and the late drama provided a morale-boosting start. Púchov will take encouragement from their resilience, having twice come from behind.
