St. Pauli II finished 16th in the Regionalliga Nord in 2025/26 with 25 points from 34 matches, avoiding relegation only after other clubs' withdrawals.

TuS Dassendorf, who finished third in the Oberliga Hamburg in 2025/26 with 76 points from 34 matches, continue their own pre-season schedule.

A controlled, professional start to pre-season from St. Pauli II. The first-half performance featured the patterns Hahn wanted to see, and the defensive solidity after the break — particularly through Moerchen — was encouraging. Dassendorf competed well and took their goal sharply, but the gap between the Regionalliga and Oberliga sides was evident in the opening half-hour.
