Třinec left ten first-team players at home, according to coach Tomáš Hejdušek, instead fielding a combination of returning injured players, squad members and trialists. That context matters: the result says more about Lehota's efficiency in both boxes than about any clear superiority.

This was Třinec's first defeat of the 2026/27 pre-season campaign. They had won three of their previous four summer friendlies, beating Púchov 3-2 on 27 June. The loss breaks a run of three consecutive clean-sheet victories.

Třinec continue their pre-season schedule against MŠK Žilina B on Wednesday 8 July. Baník Lehota, who play in Slovakia's MONACObet Liga (second tier), will be encouraged by a competitive performance against a Czech second-division side.
