Roskilde vs Fremad Amager

The first half was a scrappy affair. Both sides created chances — Roskilde's Freitag and Palle combined for a double opportunity shortly before the break — but the score remained 0-0 at half-time, with goalkeeper Hjorth making a crucial save to keep Fremad Amager at bay.

Roskilde broke the deadlock 10 minutes into the second half. Mads Carlson collected the ball on the edge of the box, took aim, and saw his shot take a deflection before looping over the Fremad Amager goalkeeper and into the net for 0-1.

Play was then halted for 10-15 minutes when a spectator collapsed. Medical staff from both sides assisted, and the individual was taken away by ambulance.

Shortly after the restart, Fremad Amager were reduced to 10 men when a player received a straight red card for dissent.

Roskilde capitalised on their numerical advantage in the 80th minute. Zaki Hamade produced a fine finish, smashing the ball into the net to make it 0-2.

But Fremad Amager refused to wilt. Within a minute of the restart, they pulled one back with a low cross from the right that was turned home at the near post. Then, in stoppage time, a set-piece delivery into the box caused chaos. Roskilde goalkeeper Benjamin Asare attempted to clear but his kick struck a Fremad Amager player and ricocheted into the net for a scarcely-believable 2-2 equaliser.

Roskilde looked comfortable at 2-0 up with 10 minutes left, but conceding within 60 seconds of Hamade's goal changed the momentum entirely. Where Roskilde had controlled the tempo, they suddenly found themselves pinned back, and the equaliser — albeit fortunate in its deflection — was the result of sustained pressure they could not withstand.

Mads Carlson (Roskilde) — Took his goal well, showing composure to shift the ball and shoot from the edge of the area. The deflection was fortunate but he created the opportunity.

Zaki Hamade (Roskilde) — Came off the bench and made an immediate impact with a powerful finish for Roskilde's second goal.

Silas Trier (Roskilde, captain) — Led by example in midfield, organising the press and maintaining intensity. Post-match, he told FCRTV: "It was a high-intensity game. There are lots of good things we can take with us. Unfortunately it was decided on some individual errors, but it's better they come now than when the season starts."

The 2-2 scoreline reflects a game of two distinct halves. Roskilde grew into the contest after a goalless first half and were clinical when it mattered — both Carlson and Hamade converted with precision. But Fremad Amager's persistence paid off: their 10-man fightback yielded two goals from just three clear chances, while Roskilde's inability to manage the game from 2-0 up with a man advantage cost them dearly.

This was Roskilde's third pre-season friendly of the summer under head coach Daniel Simacon. They previously lost 1-0 to HB Køge (11 July) and also had a 2-0 win against NFC earlier in pre-season. All players in the matchday squad got minutes, with Simacon using the full bench.

Fremad Amager — also preparing for the 2026/27 2. Division campaign — showed admirable resilience to claim a draw from a losing position while playing with 10 men.

Roskilde's next and final pre-season fixture is away to Næstved on Friday, 31 July 2026 (19:00 kick-off), before the 2. Division season begins.

A tale of two halves and a chaotic finish. Roskilde did much of the hard work — leading 2-0 with a man advantage — but a momentary lapse and a cruel deflection denied them a deserved win. Simacon will be encouraged by the attacking threat but frustrated by the game management. The Fremad Amager fightback, sparked by a quick response goal and fuelled by a fortunate bounce, was a reminder that pre-season lessons are best learned before the points are real.
