Konyaspor vs Zalaegerszegi TE

The first half ended goalless despite ZTE creating the clearer chances. Skribek Alen forced a save from Deniz Ertas with a dipping free-kick, and Maxsuell fired low towards the far corner only to be denied by the Konyaspor goalkeeper.

The deadlock was broken on 61 minutes when Konyaspor's Blaz Kramer went down under a Diogo Silva challenge inside the box, and the referee pointed to the spot. Jackson Muleka stepped up and rolled the penalty into the bottom-right corner, despite ZTE goalkeeper Zan Mauricio diving the right way — the rain-slicked surface giving the ball too much pace to be kept out.

ZTE responded within five minutes. Szendrei lofted a fine pass over the Konyaspor defence for Maxsuell, who controlled well and slotted into the opposite corner to make it 1-1 on 66 minutes.

The Hungarian side pushed for a winner. Skribek's corner led to a half-volley from Diogo Silva that drew a sharp save from Ertas on 81 minutes. Three minutes later, Csonka Andras collected the ball on the right flank after a swift break, cut inside and lashed a left-footed strike into the near post to put ZTE ahead.

Deep into stoppage time, substitute Moises Richards finished off a quick passing move involving Alfonso, firing low through a crowd of defenders and into the bottom corner to seal the 3-1 victory.

Csonka's 84th-minute strike. ZTE had been the more dangerous side after the equaliser but were beginning to run out of ideas against a compact Konyaspor defence. Csonka's powerful run and finish from the right channel — his first real involvement in a goalscoring position — broke the resistance and forced the Turkish side to push forward, leaving space for the third goal in added time.

Maxsuell (ZTE FC): A constant threat on the right flank. His equaliser was a model of composure — a difficult aerial ball controlled instantly before a calm finish across the goalkeeper. He also had a second chance saved shortly after the goal.

Csonka Andras (ZTE FC): Scored the winner with a perfectly struck left-footed drive from the right side of the box. Solid in his defensive duties throughout.

Jackson Muleka (Konyaspor): The Congolese forward converted his penalty with confidence and was Konyaspor's most dangerous outlet, holding the ball up well under pressure.

Zan Mauricio (ZTE FC): Kept ZTE in the game at 0-0 with several routine saves in the first half. Beaten by a well-struck penalty but could do little about it.

A 0-0 half-time scoreline that became 3-1 at full-time captures a game evenly contested for 60 minutes before ZTE took control. Konyaspor's penalty was their only shot on target until the visitors pushed forward late. ZTE's three goals reflected sustained pressure after the hour mark, with the final two arriving in the last six minutes plus stoppage time. The 3-1 result fell within the 4.3% probability band predicted by pre-match models, according to Sports Mole's data analysis.

ZTE closed their Slovenian training camp with two wins, having also beaten NK Slaven Belupo earlier in the week. They return to Hungary to prepare for their OTP Bank Liga 2026/27 opener away at MTK Budapest on 27 July.

Konyaspor, who beat Zorya Luhansk 2-1 in their first friendly, continue their preparations with a move to Brdo Pri Kranju. Their next pre-season fixture is against Hull City on 25 July, followed by a meeting with Al Ittihad Kalba on 29 July before the Super Lig season begins.

A deserved win for ZTE, who were the better side for the majority of the match and showed character to respond immediately after falling behind. Konyaspor offered little in open play after the penalty and will need more attacking cohesion before the Super Lig campaign starts. The fightback and the late goals provide genuine momentum for ZTE heading into the competitive season.
