Halesowen Town vs Kidderminster Harriers

The first half was largely one-way traffic but lacked the finishing touch. Callum Dolan fired across goal on 16 minutes, Max Brogan struck over before the half-hour, and Seb Thompson took aim two minutes later, but none tested the goalkeeper. New signing Ben Crompton, a versatile defender recruited from Ross County in June, also shot over on the stroke of half-time as the sides went in 0-0.

Harriers raised the tempo after the break. Lewis Walker forced a strong parry from the Halesowen goalkeeper with an 18-yard effort two minutes into the second half, and new striker Levi Amantchi — signed the day before — showed pace and control to tee up Walker, whose effort drifted just past the post.

The breakthrough arrived on 66 minutes. Harriers moved the ball quickly and Brogan's dangerous cross was met by a firm header from Crompton, the defender's first goal since joining the club.

Amantchi might have doubled the lead on 77 minutes when Reece Hall met a Reece Devine cross and sent it back across goal, but the stretching striker diverted just over.

He made no mistake on his second opportunity, however. Harriers won the ball back high up the pitch, and Amantchi composed himself before rolling a neat finish into the far bottom corner to make it 2-0.

Cian Harries added a third in the 90th minute to round off the scoring, though the provider payload records only two goals (Crompton 66', Harries 90'), with the official Harriers match report describing Amantchi's effort as the second goal. The final scoreline reads 2-0.
