For Southampton U21, this was their first domestic friendly after returning from Hungary. They face AFC Totton on Friday, 24 July (7pm), Sutton United on 1 August, and AFC Bournemouth U21s (behind closed doors) on 7 August before the Premier League 2 campaign begins.

A routine pre-season win for Southampton's academy side, who showed sharper fitness and superior second-half execution. Maidenhead remain a work in progress under Ryan Peters, with three more friendlies to find their best XI before the league opener.
