Podbrezová started the brighter side but fell behind in the 20th minute when Abdul Daneji beat home goalkeeper Domaniský to make it 1-0 to the visitors.

Šiler collected the ball outside the box and fired past Slančík from distance to complete the turnaround. The greater second-half intensity from Podbrezová — driven by substitutions and a higher press — eventually forced the breakthrough.

Liptovský Mikuláš, who compete in the second-tier MONACObet liga, start their season on the same day — 25 July at 17:00 away to newly promoted Bytča.

A pre-season friendly that delivered genuine drama. Podbrezová trailed twice but showed the resilience to overturn a deficit in the final 10 minutes, with Šiler the standout performer. The question for Nádvorník's side is whether the slow starts — they conceded first in all three of their losses this pre-season — can be corrected before the league campaign begins on 25 July.
