Wda Świecie vs Olimpia Elbląg

Wda Świecie, playing their third pre-season friendly and the only one on home soil this summer, took the lead inside the opening 10 minutes. Captain Łukasz Wenerski finished off a well-worked counter-attack to give the hosts an early advantage (Sportowe Świecie, 18 July 2026).

The home side created two or three further opportunities before the interval. Winger Paweł Woźny forced a save from Olimpia goalkeeper Kossakowski with a dangerous strike, while at the other end, Wda keeper Łukasz Zapała remained alert to keep the visitors at bay. Olimpia kept pushing and finally found a breakthrough two minutes from time. Szymon Krawczyk curled a free-kick past the Wda wall and into the net in the 88th minute, rescuing a draw for the visitors.

The 88th-minute free-kick from Krawczyk was the only moment of genuine quality in a second half otherwise dominated by the weather. Olimpia had grown into the match after a subdued first period, and the set-piece — their most reliable route to goal in the difficult conditions — delivered the equaliser they deserved for their persistence.

Łukasz Wenerski (Wda Świecie) — The captain led by example, scoring the opener with a composed finish on the counter-attack and organising his side through the difficult second half.

Szymon Krawczyk (Olimpia Elbląg) — Scored the late equaliser with a well-struck free-kick, his only clear sight of goal in the match. His set-piece execution was the difference between a draw and a defeat.

Łukasz Wiśniewski (Wda Świecie) — The substitute goalkeeper made two crucial saves early in the second half to keep Wda ahead, though he could do nothing about Krawczyk's free-kick.

Paweł Woźny (Wda Świecie) — A constant threat on the right wing in the first half, forcing a good save and creating Wda's most dangerous moments from open play.

For Olimpia Elbląg, this was their fourth pre-season match under coach Karol Przybyła. After a 2-0 loss to Chojniczanka (7 July), they have since recorded a 4-0 win over Gedania Gdańsk (11 July), a 2-0 win over Polonia Lidzbark Warmiński (15 July), and this 1-1 draw. The run shows defensive solidity — three goals conceded in four matches — but the equaliser here came from a free-kick rather than open play, an area Przybyła will want to improve (ZKS Olimpia, 19 July 2026).

Olimpia played without two young midfielders — Jakub Pieczarka and Patryk Sargalski — both injured in the midweek match against Polonia Lidzbark Warmiński. Fifteen-year-old goalkeeper Marcin Bruszczak (born 2010) featured, as did 16-year-old debutant Klaudiusz Osowski (born 2009). Two trialists also played.
