When you work as hard as they do to try and regain the ball as we did today, they showed how good they are. You have to work hard first of all before you can gain possession. So that was the conversation we had with them during the week and they put that into practice today against a good MK Dons outfit."

A deserved win for a well-organised Wealdstone side that executed their game plan with discipline and intensity. MK Dons will be unconcerned by the result, given the split-squad nature of the day and the early stage of pre-season, but Sam Nombe's return to action is a significant positive.
