AGF vs Raekker Molle

With the scores locked at 20-19 to AGF approaching the 50th minute, Lasse Dohm was sent off with a direct red card (51:10) for an off-the-ball incident. Raekker Molle, a man down, responded by scoring two of the next three goals through Anders Flæng and Mathias Hedegaard to stretch their lead to 22-25. AGF never got closer than two goals again.

Raekker Molle outscored AGF 16-12 in the second half despite playing the final nine minutes short-handed.

The half-time scoreline (14-13 AGF) flattered the hosts, who had relied on three penalty conversions to build the lead. Raekker Molle's seven first-half two-minute suspensions (to Flæng, Langhoff and Nielsen) disrupted their rhythm but also kept AGF's attack largely limited to penalties and Kaihøj's individual efforts. In the second half, Raekker Molle's discipline improved and their transitional play punished AGF's stretched defence — five of their 16 second-half goals came on fast breaks from AGF turnover passes.

AGF's seven-for-eight penalty record is as good as it looks, but the one miss — Koch Nielsen's saved effort at 30:30 — came with AGF 14-13 up and the momentum swinging; a goal there might have changed the second-half shape.

Raekker Molle sit fourth in the early standings with two points, level on points with three other opening-day winners. AGF (0 points) are 12th, with a negative three goal difference. Both sides are in the 14-team division where the top two at season's end earn promotion to the Herre Handbold Ligaen.

Raekker Molle's second-half composure and squad depth told the story. Even reduced to six outfield players for the closing stages, they defended with discipline and picked their moments on the counter. AGF competed for 50 minutes but lacked the firepower to sustain the pace. If Raekker Molle maintain this defensive resolve they will trouble the top half of the table.
