Jihlava U20 vs Poruba U20

The combined fixture (both mini-games) saw Jihlava outscore Poruba 7–4 across 80 minutes, with the second group of younger Jihlava players winning 4–1.

Both sides are in early pre-season preparation for the 2026/27 Czech U20 league season. Jihlava's head coach Aleš Heinrich said after the match: "We had a good start to the match, the guys played well and I dare say we were the better team. Towards the end at 3–1, a few of our mistakes crept in that cost us the lead, but this is a friendly. I rate it positively looking ahead to the season."

Poruba coach Tomáš Potěšil acknowledged rebuilding pains: "After last season, a lot of players left for other clubs who bought them, so we're building a new team and it's still a bit unsettled. It's only pre-season."

The result keeps Jihlava unbeaten in pre-season friendlies (two matches played). Poruba are still searching for their first pre-season win.

A tale of two periods. Jihlava's sharp finishing made them look a class above for 30 minutes, but Poruba's resilience — and Jihlava's late indiscipline — flipped the script. For a friendly, it served its purpose: plenty of tape for the coaches to review, and a reminder that no lead is safe in pre-season hockey.

Both teams continue their pre-season schedules in August before the Czech U20 Extraliga campaign begins in September 2026.
