Omskie Krylia vs Dyn. Altay

Dyn. Altay struck inside the opening minute. Georgy Ovchinnikov opened the scoring at 0:24 of the first period, converting an early chance to give the visitors a shock lead against the run of play. The score remained 1-0 to the visitors through the remainder of the opening frame, with both sides feeling each other out in a tightly-contested period.

Omskie Krylia found their equaliser early in the second period. Pavel Leuka capitalised on the power play at 26:35, finishing off a setup from Alexander Vinogradov and Vyacheslav Malov to make it 1-1. The home side carried that momentum into the intermission.

The decisive period was the third. Egor Stepanov put Omsk ahead at 51:27, scoring on another power play with an assist from captain Alexander Loktev. Just under three minutes later, Kirill Tagirov made it 3-1 while Omskie Krylia were shorthanded — a crushing blow for Dyn. Altay, who had been pushing for an equaliser. Tagirov added his second of the game into an empty net at 59:02, assisted by Mark Pavlikov, to round out the regulation scoring at 4-1.

By prior agreement between the clubs, the teams also played a 20-minute overtime period after regulation. Omskie Krylia extended their tally with two further goals — Alexander Vinogradov (60:11) and Pavel Leuka again (60:41) — making the full-game score 6-1 in overtime. A subsequent shootout session ended in a draw, with Yaroslav Zykov, Savva Andreev and Maxim Nevolin all scoring for Dyn. Altay.

Tagirov's shorthanded goal at 54:12 was the decisive moment. Dyn. Altay had weathered Omskie Krylia's power-play goal at 51:27 and were beginning to build pressure of their own when Omsk struck while a man down. That goal effectively ended the contest, giving Omsk a two-goal cushion with under six minutes to play in regulation.

• Pavel Leuka (Omskie Krylia) — One goal in regulation, another in the agreed OT. The forward's power-play equaliser early in the second period got Omsk back into the game.

• Georgy Ovchinnikov (Dyn. Altay) — Scored the opening goal inside 24 seconds. One of few bright spots for the visitors on a night when they were outshot 57-36.

Omskie Krylia dominated the shot count 57-36, with 31 shots on target to 23. They also won the faceoff battle 36-20 — a 64% success rate — which allowed them to control possession and dictate the pace after the first period. The home side blocked just 7 shots to Dyn. Altay's 15, reflecting their territorial advantage; they spent less time defending. Power-play conversion was a clear separator: Omsk scored on two of their opportunities, while Dyn. Altay failed to score on theirs. The penalty minutes were close (8-10), but Omskie Krylia's shorthanded goal meant they won the special-teams battle decisively.

This was the second of two pre-season friendlies between these VHL clubs in as many days — Omskie Krylia also won the first match 4-1 on 8 August. Dyn. Altay continue their pre-season tour with away matches against Rubin Tyumen on 12 and 13 August. Omskie Krylia's next friendly is scheduled against Khimik Voskresensk. For both teams, the VHL regular season is the primary objective, with the 2026-27 OLIMPBET Championship campaign beginning in September.

Omskie Krylia demonstrated superior depth and conditioning, particularly in the third period where they outscored Dyn. Altay 3-0 in regulation. The shorthanded goal was the moment that broke the visitors' spirit. Dyn. Altay will take encouragement from Ovchinnikov's early goal and a competitive first period, but the shot and faceoff statistics reveal a clear gap in control that needs closing before the regular season.
