Kobra Praha vs Milevsko

Milevsko dominated the opening period with clinical finishing. Tomáš Hajič opened the scoring at 06:09 after a swift combination with Šulek and Seidl, and Ondřej Šulek doubled the lead on 12:39 with a breakaway finish (Krcho, Seidl). Kobra went to the first intermission trailing 2–0 despite carrying the better of the territorial play.

The visitors struck again just 56 seconds into the second period — Martin Willmann made it 3–0 off a Hajič feed. Kobra responded immediately: Zenker pulled one back at 21:15, and Mácha (Bříška, Vlček) cut the deficit to 3–2 at 23:12.

Milevsko restored breathing room when Jakub Matušík (Kohout, Šulek) made it 4–2 at 26:46. Kamil Bříška (Vlček, Mácha) scored his first at 35:58 to make it 4–3, but Matiášek (Krcho) answered for the visitors at 36:57, sending the teams to the second break with Milevsko ahead 5–3.

Kobra dominated the third period. Bříška scored his second of the night at 46:43 (Vlček), and Ondřej Fiala levelled the game at 48:30 after a quick passing move with Bříška and Mácha. Neither side could find a winner in the final 11 minutes — no overtime was played, so the game went straight to shootout.

Jakub Dráb's shootout goal in the third round was decisive. After the first two rounds produced no goals, the Kobra defenceman executed a quick drag-and-release move in front of Milevsko goaltender Pytel, sliding the puck into the empty net. Zátopek, Bezpalec and Hajič all failed to beat Kobra netminder Ondrík, and Vimmer sealed the win in the fifth round.

Kobra's 1–5 penalty differential tells the story of a game they controlled territorially despite the scoreboard. They converted one powerplay while Milevsko scored once shorthanded. The run of play shifted decisively after Kobra's second-period surge: they outscored Milevsko 5–3 from the second period onward after being shut out in the first.

This was the first pre-season friendly for both sides ahead of the 2026/27 Czech 2. liga season. Kobra Praha extended their all-time unbeaten run against Milevsko to four matches. They lost their second friendly 3–2 to Benátky nad Jizerou on 14 August (source: hckobra.cz). Milevsko will look to tighten their discipline after conceding five minor penalties.

Kobra's next scheduled friendly was against HK Kralupy nad Vltavou on 18 August.

A thoroughly entertaining pre-season friendly that revealed Kobra's resilience and offensive depth. The Bříška-Vlček-Mácha line showed encouraging chemistry. Milevsko's inability to manage the game after going 3–0 up, compounded by poor discipline, cost them what would have been a statement win.
