Mountfield HK struck first in the opening period. At 11:00, forward David Šichan converted from Filip Samek to give the visitors a 1-0 lead they carried into the first intermission.

Kometa responded after the break. Forward Kijonka, assisted by Štulo, levelled the scores at 37:00, sending the game into the final period tied at 1-1.

The third period belonged entirely to Mountfield HK. Captain Jakub Jón put the visitors back ahead at 52:00, finishing a setup from Luděk Poor at close range. Andrii Vystavkin doubled the lead at 58:00, burying a feed from Jan Vyvial in the slot.
