The penalty minutes (10-12) don't capture the timing — both goals against the visitors came while shorthanded in the final frame. This was the second of two preseason meetings between the MHL clubs from the Siberian region. Krasnoyarskie Rysi won the first 4-3 in a shootout on 23 July; Sibirskie Snaipery levelled the two-game series with this victory. Snaipery next headed to Omsk in early August for the G-Drive Cup tournament. Krasnoyarskie Rysi were scheduled to play their next preseason matches on 18 and 19 August at Platium Arena in Krasnoyarsk, hosting the same opponents.

Krasnoyarskie Rysi head coach Valentin Kopylov told the club's official site: "Interesting matches, the purpose of which was to look at the guys who joined the team, to look at those who were already there, what shape they are in. It's clear that during training camps it's too early to talk about any combinations or lines. Well, in general we looked at everyone, tested all four goaltenders, everyone who was on the trip participated in these games, we got certain food for thought."

A tale of two periods of stalemate followed by a frantic third-period collapse from Krasnoyarskie Rysi, who led for only eight minutes before two penalties cost them the game. Sibirskie Snaipery's discipline on special teams — scoring twice on the power play — proved the decisive margin in a fixture that was otherwise even. For a preseason friendly, the intensity and the 1,534-strong crowd provided a useful benchmark for both coaching staffs ahead of the 2026/27 MHL season.
