Rubin head coach Alexander Osipov praised his team's work ethic:

"A good working victory. The opponent offered very high speeds from the first shift. There was a lot of chaos, not much time to think, but the special teams did their job well — the guys showed great commitment."

Rubin host Dyn Altay again on 13 August for a second pre-season meeting. The VHL regular season is scheduled to begin in early September.
