Trinec vs Slovan Bratislava

The opening period was a cagey affair. Oliver Turan broke the deadlock at 15:00 (16th minute) for Trinec, finishing from Samuel Buček and Filip Ličko to give the Czech side a 1-0 lead at the first break.

The second period exploded into life. Patrik Hrehorčák equalised for Slovan at 24:00 (4'), assisted by David Aubrecht and Michal Roman. Matěj Kubiesa put Slovan ahead at 26:00 (6') with help from Flynn and Dávid Musil. Slovan dominated the latter stages of the period. Oscar Flynn struck on the power-play at 36:00 (16') via Marián Adámek and Kubiesa, and Patrik Chlán added another at 39:00 (19') from Aubrecht and Marko Daňo. Slovan took a 4-2 lead into the locker room after outscoring Trinec 4-1 in the middle frame.

Trinec came out firing in the third. Oliver Turan scored his second of the game on the power-play at 41:00 (1'), with Kašlík and Eklind assisting, cutting the deficit to 4-3. Flynn restored Slovan's two-goal cushion at 44:00 (4'), assisted by Daniel Voženílek and Adámek, making it 5-3.

Then came the unforgettable final minute. Patrik Maier pulled one back for Trinec at 48:02 (8') from Buček. Just 44 seconds later, Oliver Turan completed his hat-trick at 48:46, set up by Samuel Solenský, levelling the scores at 5-5.

But three seconds after that — at 48:49 — Oscar Flynn scored his third of the night on the power-play, with no assist recorded, to restore Slovan's lead. The goal stood as the winner as Slovan's defence held firm in the dying seconds.

The decisive moment came in a chaotic 47-second span at 48:02–48:49 of the third period. Trinec had battled back from 5-3 down to tie the game at 5-5 through Maier and Turan's third. But a face-off win and quick transition after the ensuing puck drop saw Flynn bury the game-winner on the power-play before Trinec could even register the equaliser. Three goals in 47 seconds — the last two just three seconds apart — swung the game decisively Slovan's way.
