Set 3 — 25-14: Iran's resistance wilted. China reclaimed full control, leaning on the serving of Zhuang Yushan — who finished as the match's top scorer with 18 points (15 kills on 30 attacks, 3 blocks) — and the blocking of Chen Houyu, who added 8 points (4 kills, 3 blocks, 1 ace). China stormed to the finish and sealed the sweep.

Set 2 was the hinge. Iran, after being outclassed in the opener, demonstrated why they had upset Chinese Taipei 3-1 in their tournament debut. They stretched China to deuce territory for the first time in the entire group stage. China were rarely threatened outside a tight second set. The squad rotation — Wu Mengjie's return is a significant boost — and depth suggest they are peaking at the right time.
