Pool B — composed of Spain, Turkey, Greece, Egypt and Kosovo — is one of two groups in the men's tournament, with the top sides advancing to the quarter-finals from 29 August. Their service pressure prevented Egypt from running a balanced offence, while the Spanish reception held firm to give their setters consistent first-ball options. Spain's block was the statistical differentiator, forcing attacking errors at key moments that prevented Egypt from building any sustained momentum.

In a five-team group where only the top sides reach the quarter-finals, every set won matters for tie-break scenarios. Egypt now face a must-improve situation with remaining fixtures against Kosovo (23 August), Greece (26 August) and Turkey (27 August).
