Japan — Yuji Nishida (opposite): Led all scorers with a match-high output, punishing the USA block from the right side with sharp cross-court and down-the-line attacks. His serving in the fourth set kept USA out of system.

USA — Micah Christenson (setter): Orchestrated a balanced offence, distributing to three different hitters with double-digit attempts in each of the first three sets. His connection with the middle was especially effective in Sets 1 and 3.

Japan — Ran Takahashi (outside hitter): A constant threat from the left pin, scoring in transition and providing reliable passing when Japan was under serve pressure.

USA — Matt Anderson (opposite): Anchored the USA attack with heavy swings in the first and third sets, though his efficiency dipped in the fourth and fifth as Japan's block read him better.
