Set 2 was decisive. After a competitive opening set, Brazil's block-and-transition game overwhelmed Argentina entirely. The 25-15 scoreline gave Argentina an insurmountable two-set deficit, and despite rallying in the third, they could not sustain the level required to extend the match.

Lucas Pereira de Abreu continued his outstanding tournament. The Brazilian had posted 17 points (seven blocks) against Mexico and 14 against Poland — and his blocking presence was again decisive against Argentina, disrupting their rhythm at the net.

Brazil's Lorenzo José Trentin and Lucca Perazzo Amaral Ferreira provided reliable attacking support, ensuring the scoring load was spread across multiple options.

Captain Valentin Tomas Bianchi led Argentina's resistance. The outside hitter had scored 15 points in Argentina's win over Mexico two days earlier and remained a focal point, though Brazil's defensive organisation limited his effectiveness in the critical moments.

Brazil have now won nine of the 11 sets they have played in Doha, dropping only the two sets Poland took from them in a five-set thriller (3-2) on Day 4. Argentina, by contrast, have won just two of 10 sets and have been swept twice in three matches.

The straight-sets victory confirmed Brazil's blocking superiority in Pool C. Against Mexico (3-0), Poland (3-2) and now Argentina, Brazil's net defence was their primary weapon, stifling opposition attacks and creating transition opportunities.

Brazil finished Pool C with a perfect 3-0 record, securing top spot and advancing to the Round of 16 with momentum. Argentina ended pool play at 1-2, leaving them reliant on the four-best-third-placed-teams rule to reach the knockout stage.

Brazil will play their Round of 16 match on 25 August at Aspire Ladies Sports Hall. Argentina's fate depends on results across the other pools.
