Aziz Foster-Powell (Richmond) — The senior running back ran for 108 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries (7.2 yards per attempt), adding two catches for 38 yards for a game-high 146 all-purpose yards. It was his first career multi-touchdown game.

Cam Byrd (Richmond) — The preseason Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year recorded three sacks as part of a Richmond defence that limited Bucknell to 32 rushing yards on 29 attempts (1.1 yards per carry) and 187 total yards. The Spiders forced 11 punts and Bucknell converted only 3-of-15 third downs.

Bryce Allen (Richmond) — The freshman receiver caught two touchdown passes — from nine and 75 yards — totalling over 100 receiving yards in his collegiate debut.

Chris Dietrich (Bucknell) — The Bison quarterback went 16-for-30 for 155 yards and two touchdowns, engineering both of Bucknell's scoring drives.

Richmond's 393 total yards against Bucknell's 187 tells a story of total control, but the underlying numbers are even starker.
